Friends of Unity March Blog Hop ~ Creativity

Welcome to our March Blog Hop, friends!

I love that this months inspirational cue is Creativity. March is National Craft Month! Which makes our cue all the more perfect!

Creativity is a strong moving force behind everything I do. How encouraging it is when a creative thought becomes so tangible. I love being virtually surrounded by so many artists that help inspire and grow my creativity.

What inspires your creativity? For me, it's relationships. My relationship with Christ and my relationships with others.  Almost everything I make is very personal. Inspired by and made specifically for someone, or because of someone. Even the relationship I have with myself often inspires a creation. Have you ever thought about the relationship you have with yourself? It is most impressionable and can either keep you hurting or allow you to heal. To grow. To become. To be your very best. I pray you love you.

This Angie Girl shouts creativity! She is my absolute favorite. For me, Peyton Girl is so relatable and completely personifies my style. Oh, and, I need her dress!

I absolutely adore how this tag turned out! I truly think it is one of my favorites I have ever made. I could watercolor her over and over. And I have! She is such a joy to work with. I am pretty sure she loves and knows who she is as an artist. Doesn't she display such a stance of confidence?? It's infectious!

Here are the details of the tag. It measures 3.25 x 8.5. The top and bottom DSP pieces are from Heidi Swapp's Emerson Lane collection and popped up with foam tape. The tassel is half of a tassel string I cut off one of my dresses. Haha. I love puffy heart stickers. These are from Amy Tangerine. (I think I bought them off Amazon). The sentiment is from the beautiful June 2017 Sentiment Kit "she never says never", by Lisa Arana. (I used Altenew watercolors on both projects.)

I am still not sure that I am completely happy with the card below. I do love it but, it is missing something. Thoughts on what I could have added to it? I made this for someone specific and can not wait to send it to her.

I love this sentiment. Notice how the word share is used 2x. I wonder if this was done because the artist is passionate about sharing. Personally, I feel sharing is one of the most selfless acts we can offer someone. Sharing of our time. Our knowledge. Our experiences. Our gifts and talents. Sharing of our abundance. This is the first time I have used this sentiment. It speaks to me and I am eager to use it again. If you have used this sentiment, or plan to, I would love to see your creation!

Here are the details of the card. It measures 5x7. I rarely make this size of card. The flags stapled to the corner are remnants from the DSP used on the above tag. Btw, the staple was inspired by Jeanie Hays. I've never used staples as a means to adhere. I love it! The sentiment is from "create, share, etc." The pretty blue barn door DSP that peeks from the side and bottom is from BoBunny Butterfly Kisses collection paper pad.

I would love to know which creation was your favorite! The tag or the card!?
For those of you who fully read my blog, thank you so very much. I love being able to express myself through creating and writing, and I love sharing both with you.

If I may, I'd love to invite you to follow my blog.
There is a "follow" button up a bit and to the right. --->
Not the follow by email, it's up just a bit from it. Thank you so much!
It brings me so much joy sharing my thoughts and creations with all of you!

(Unfortunately, you won't have access to the follow button from your phone.)

As always~

Thanks for spending time with me today!

Until next time~

Be blessed, friends!
